●My child already speaks English; is there any point to enrolling them at Sunrise?
Yes! While we do aim to teach English to our students, we use English as a means to communicate, not an end. We explore the themes in our curriculum through different lenses – through basic science, through numeracy, arts and crafts, social studies, movement, etc. We try and make each lesson as fun and educational and every child, whether they speak English or not, can gain something from our school.
●How hard do the kids study at preschool?
We strive to keep our classes fun, engaging but also educational. On the same note, we are not a cram school or an academy. Our teaching style is a mix of worksheets and "sit-down" activities combined with games, experiments, free-discussion, crafts, etc. Our hope is to teach English and stimulate each child's curiosity in a variety of ways, but ultimately we rely the most natural way possible – through interaction with their environment and with others.
